SUMMARY
The Account Executive provides efficient professional and courteous service to Business Group clients. The Account Executive plans and executes an appropriate service plan for each client and builds effective working relationships with clients in order to understand their insurance program and overall risk management needs. The Account Executive maintains a thorough understanding and knowledge of the insurance marketplace using these skills to negotiate terms and pricing and obtain appropriate coverage and/or program options to create a meaningful and impactful client experience.
In this role you will contribute to the team by:
- Working with the Service Team Manager to triage referral prospects in conjunction with the Select value proposition.
- Independently evaluating clients current coverage programs to recommend market strategy within Select value proposition parameters
- Leveraging insurance knowledge and communication skills to explain coverage terms program options and other items to clients as needed
- Managing submission process by engaging with clients and prospective clients on their exposures coverages and program needs assembling data following best practices
- Leading marketing effort for identified Select carrier partners utilizing technology tools and service centers.
- Manage Select carrier relationships understanding appetite and unique benefits carriers provide for small business relationships and communication with team members
- Maintaining positive working relationship with insurance carriers attending meetings and events as appropriate and proactively learning about their products and underwriting approaches
- Communicating with underwriters on submissions and negotiating premium coverage and other terms on behalf of clients
- Evaluating coverage terms and conditions of quotes received from underwriters; comparing quote options from multiple carriers and presenting coverage comparisons as requested
- Remaining current on forms coverage insurance carriers industry trends and legislation
- Identifying and recommending additional products services and coverage levels that enhance client programs
- Achieving desired levels of data completeness and process integrity by consistently meeting quality metrics and goals
- Participating in ongoing scheduled meetings with service team to discuss accounts renewals service needs service platform etc.
- Communicating effectively with internal team members and providing timely and complete information to allow them to establish positive client relationships and efficiently manage their processes and workload
- Developing successful and effective working relationships with Risk Advisors Client Executives service team members managers carriers and members of other departments in support of the Select Value Prop and department goals.
- Managing time to prioritize workload client service requests and service needs on business processes
- Maintaining confidential information
- Performing other duties and special projects as assign

- Are proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint and Calendar management

- Have strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Enjoy collecting analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to create workflows and develop service plans for clients
- Can proactively and independently manage deadlines
Required:
- Must have 3 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance risk management or financial services industry
- Property and Casualty license
- Excellent computer and office machine skills specifically with Microsoft Office products
Preferred: Associates degree or some college completion of INS designation.
