Job Type: Contract
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60 $66 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking 1:1 Registered Nursefor an exciting job in Phoenix AZ.
Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile student in accordance with the IEP
Monitor assess and document the students health status throughout the school day
Administer medications breathing treatments and other prescribed medical interventions
Accompany the student during transportation to and from school
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records including medications treatments and observations
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
Communicate effectively with instructional staff and multidisciplinary support teams
Coordinate and assist with medical appointments as needed
Educate the student on personal hygiene and general health as appropriate
Keep parents/guardians informed regarding the students health status
Collaborate with physicians school health centers and medical specialists
Conduct routine health screenings and required surveys
Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Participate in required training conducted in the home or school setting
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona
Active FP-C or FPCC certification
Current CPR/BLS certification
Completion of a physical assessment skills course
Eligibility for Arizona School Nurse Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of pediatric nursing or urgent care experience
Experience working with children with disabilities or special healthcare needs
Knowledge of care for medically fragile or handicapped children
Strong physical assessment skills (sports injury experience a plus)
American Sign Language (ASL) experience preferred
