The Sprinkler Field Manager oversees all field operations for construction and service crews ensuring projects are completed safely on schedule and to company quality standards. This role coordinates manpower supports foremen and technicians resolves field issues and ensures compliance with NFPA standards local codes and project specifications. Responsibilities include daily crew oversight jobsite visits scheduling material and equipment coordination quality control checks and communication with project managers and service leadership. The Field Manager drives productivity enforces safety protocols mentors field staff and helps maintain strong customer relationships through professional on-site representation.
Qualifications :
Experience & Technical Skills
- 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation service or field supervision.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13 14 20 and 25 as well as local codes and inspection requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple construction and service crews.
- Ability to read and interpret sprinkler layout drawings hydraulic calculations and specifications.
- Familiarity with scheduling manpower planning and job-cost awareness.
- Proficiency with basic technology (tablets mobile apps construction management software).
Leadership & Operational Skills
- Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to mentor foremen and technicians.
- Ability to solve field problems quickly and professionally.
- High level of organization and follow-through on daily tasks.
- Commitment to enforcing safety policies and identifying jobsite hazards.
- Ability to manage performance maintain quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
Certifications & Credentials
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- NICET Level II or III in Sprinkler Layout or Inspection & Testing (preferred but not required).
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk jobsites climb ladders and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with both indoor and outdoor jobsite conditions.
