Role Purpose:

The APAC People Shared Services Lead oversees how People services support and advisory functions are delivered across the APAC region ensuring smooth compliant and consistent employee experiences across diverse labor and cultural environments. The role blends regional leadership with practical hands-on supportproviding direction on people matters guiding local compliance resolving issues and overseeing lifecycle processes.

With APAC coverage spanning India China Japan Korea Singapore Australia Malaysia and Thailand this role requires strong regional labor knowledge cultural fluency operational discipline and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset to manage both day-to-day needs and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities and Impact:

As the APAC People Shared Services Lead you will shape how SpinCo delivers People support in one of the companys most dynamic and complex regions. Your leadership will improve employee relations outcomes manager capability service consistency and regional compliance. Partnering with HRBPs COEs Payroll Benefits and HR Technology & Analytics you will ensure global People strategies are effectively adapted and executed in APAC while maintaining operational excellence.

Regional Leadership & Advisory (60%)

  • Lead the Shared Services function for APAC overseeing advisory support and service delivery across multiple countries.

  • Provide guidance on APAC labor laws compliance requirements statutory obligations and localized employment practices.

  • Support managers on performance management coaching ER cases and People best practices aligned to global frameworks.

  • Lead Tier 2 employee relations investigations and escalation management across APAC markets.

  • Partner with COEs to deploy regional learning engagement and development initiatives.

  • Represent APAC needs in global service delivery forums and governance decisions.

  • Collaborate with People Analytics to interpret regional trends risks and forecast needs.

Operational Oversight & Execution (40%)

  • Oversee delivery of employee lifecycle processes across APACincluding onboarding job changes leave benefits transfers and separations.

  • Ensure accurate leave administration benefits coordination and payroll data management in partnership with Global Payroll and Benefits.

  • Maintain statutory documentation support audits and ensure compliance with all local employment regulations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using automation digital workflows and AI tools to enhance service delivery.

  • Ensure alignment of regional processes with global COEs and Shared Services standards.

  • Support global PMO initiatives by managing regional deliverables change adoption and communication.

  • Coach and develop India-based and in-region People Advisors and specialists to ensure consistent high-quality support.

What we are looking for:

Required Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in APAC employment laws (India China Japan Korea Australia Singapore required; broader APAC desirable).

  • 710 years of progressive HR/People experience including regional or multi-country leadership.

  • Strong experience with performance management coaching employee relations and compliance.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence leaders across cultures.

  • Strong analytical ability to interpret workforce data and support decision-making.

  • Proven capability to manage high-volume complex environments with sound judgment.

  • Fluent in English and at least one regional APAC language (Hindi Mandarin Japanese or Korean preferred).

  • Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing Shared Services or HR service delivery teams.

  • Familiarity with works councils unions or representation bodies where applicable.

  • Experience supporting transformation or high-growth environments.

  • Experience coaching dispersed teams across multiple APAC countries.
