The goal of ourLocalisation team is to provide an outstandinglocal experience to our customersin Germany. Quality isvery importantto usand we believe in the value of human translationswhile making the best use of technology.
As a Localisation Specialist in a collaborative localisation team you will work closely with our other Localisation Specialist for German. We useCrowdinas our translation management system and you willmainly workon product-relatedcontent such as app strings and communication assets.
Experience inlocalising appsand a good understanding of product developmentwould be asignificantadvantageinthis role.
Job responsibilities
- Translatetranscreateand proofread content from English into German
- Build andmaintainGerman glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency
- Adapt the global tone of voice to the German market
- Collaboratewith various stakeholderssuch asUX Writers Product Managers and Engineers to understand the product and localisationrequirements
- Conduct quality assurance checks and report bugs
- Advocatefor the customer and foster a customer-first approach within theorganization
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in roles such asLocalisationSpecialistTranslatorLinguist orLanguageQualityManager
- Excellent communication skills in German and English both written and oral
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Good knowledge of translation management systems (TMS) such asCrowdin
- Attention to detail and critical thinking
- Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers and stakeholders
Preferred qualificationscapabilitiesand skills
- Experience using Jira and Confluence to organize and document work
- Technical understandingofproduct development
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of banking FinTechorsimilar areasis a plus
