Job Summary

What Youll Do

This isnt your average job. Youll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. Whether youre preparing meals maintaining facilities or supporting daily operations your work makes a real impact. Youll help create a safe comfortable and energizing environment for workers living far from home.

As a 2nd Cook you will:

Prepare pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
Prepare mise en place (setting in place of foods garnishes sauces dishes cutlery etc) and other products as required for high volume production.
Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
Label date store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
Reports needed maintenance faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities:

All meals and accommodations are provided
Private room with cable television
Access to Wi-Fi
Access to laundry facilities and detergents
Access to a gym and common areas

Qualifications :

What You Bring

A sense of adventure and readiness to live and work in a remote setting

Large-scale cooking in camp settings banquet halls and/or hotels is a strong asset
Current Food Safe certification is preferred
Ability to commit to a 21 days on / 7 days off rotation
A team-player who is committed to providing client satisfaction
Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site
Ability to handle the following physical demands:
- Lift carry push or pull up to 50 lbs
- Climb ladders or stairs
- Stand walk squat kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time
- Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands
- Perform work with arms at full length
- Work with arms above shoulder height

A team-first attitude and strong communication skills

Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g. lifting standing for long periods)

Commitment to safety respect and inclusion
