Job Summary
Job Description Travel CT Technician
Position Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Specialty: CT Technician (Computed Tomography)
Location: Gastonia NC
Schedule & Shift Details
Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: Wednesday Thursday Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
On-Call: Required approximately 2 times per month
Floating: As needed between nearby locations
Job Summary
The CT Technician is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures to produce high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation. This role requires professional judgment technical expertise and a strong commitment to patient safety quality care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans and related imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Demonstrate professional judgment in patient positioning image acquisition and radiation safety
Perform IV contrast administration following competency guidelines and safety standards
Ensure high-quality diagnostic images through proper technique and equipment use
Provide excellent patient-centered care using AIDET customer service principles
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Operate and troubleshoot CT imaging equipment as needed
May assist with diagnostic radiologic technologist duties when required
Maintain compliance with HIPAA safety regulations and departmental policies
Float between designated locations as operationally needed
Equipment Experience
Siemens Force CT Scanner
HD 750 CT Scanner
Required Qualifications
Active ARRT Certification with CT Credential
Registered Radiologic Technologist R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT)
Prior CT experience required
Competency in special imaging techniques IV contrast administration and cross-sectional anatomy preferred
Ability to work independently during night shifts
Strong communication and patient service skills
Preferred Skills
Experience in high-volume CT departments
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
Flexibility with floating assignments and on-call coverage
