Job Summary:
This position is for a CT Technologist working in a freestanding Emergency Department with outpatient primary care and ED services. The role involves performing a variety of CT scans on patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics and requires excellent customer service and collaboration with the ED team.

Responsibilities:
- Perform basic bread and butter CT scans including those for stroke and cardiac patients.
- Conduct X-rays of extremities abdomen/GI spine/pelvis head chest/thorax and musculoskeletal areas.
- Perform fluoroscopy studies and imaging of lower and upper extremities.
- Prepare and administer contrast media.
- Start peripheral IVs.
- Perform special procedures such as brain perfusion coronary CTA CT arthrography myelography transplant studies and vascular CTA.
- Operate GE equipment and PACS.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the ED.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification.
- ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification.
- BLS certification.
- Active WA state license.
- 2 years of experience.
- Experience in adult outpatient and emergency department settings.
- Proficiency in performing CT scans of the abdomen (with and without contrast) pelvis (with and without contrast) chest (with and without contrast) and head/neck (with and without contrast).
- Knowledge of preparation and administration of contrast media.
- Ability to start peripheral IVs.
- Experience with brain perfusion coronary CTA CT arthrography myelography transplant studies and vascular CTA.
- Experience with Cervical Lumbar Thoracic Spine and Musculoskeletal.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with enema studies.
- Experience with surgery/C-arm procedures.
- Experience with Shimatzu-Xray equipment.
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) skills.
Special Considerations:
- Call is required with a 30-minute response time.
- The facility honors active compact licenses.
Scheduling:
- Outpatient services are provided until 8 PM after which only ED services are available until 7 AM.
