System Development and Integration Engineer
Remote Occasionally travel to Phoenix AZ
Role is within the Control Systems Center of Excellence (CS CoE). The CS CoE develops state-of-the-art avionics for air transport regional and business aircraft.
The desired candidate will contribute to a team of systems engineers responsible for the overall systems engineering activities related to requirements development requirements management and HW/SW integration of a displays system.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Understanding customer requirements
Analysis and Design of system requirements
Developing and maintaining the system software requirements
Supporting the software development team
Supporting the software verification team
Coordination and resolution of design and implementation issues with software/hardware requirements
Coordination and resolution of design and implementation issues with Flight Controls System Interfaces
Hardware/software and checkout of the system
Development and Integration of System Benches
Investigation and resolution of Hardware/software Integration issues
Investigation and review of customer issues and desired enhancements
What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position
Basic Qualifications Required:
Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Aerospace or Systems Engineering.
Minimum of 6 years of experience related to displays systems development/analysis or other avionics products
Additional Qualifications Desired:
Advanced degree in Aerospace or Systems Engineering preferred.
System Integration and test experience with displays systems
Experience working with and the administration of Requirement Management tools (DOORs)
Experience working in a technical position that interfaces with customers as well as internal and external suppliers desired
Experience with avionics and displays certification requirements a plus
Proven ability to define investigate and solve complex technical problems within schedule budget and resource constraints
Experience with developing System Level requirements as well as software/hardware requirements a plus
Experience with verification and validation of System requirements preferred
Systems engineering experience within a displays system
Experience debugging/testing avionics systems via simulation & hardware-in-loop lab environments desired
Technical background/proficiency in avionics particularly displays systems
Integration and test experience in lab or flight test environments
Experience using Configuration Management and Change Control systems such as ClearCase/ClearQuest
Experience using the requirements management tool DOORs preferred.
