APPRENTICES-National Minimum Wage for Age:
-23 and over: 10.42 per hour
-21 to 22: 10.18per hour
-18 to 20: 7.49per hour
-Under 18: 5.28 per hour

Are you looking to kickstart your career in commissioning or Adult Social Care while making a difference in your community Walsall Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team (Adult Social Care) as an Apprentice Commissioning Support Officer.

This role is part of a structured apprenticeship programme where you will work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard qualification gaining valuable experience and skills in a professional environment.

What youll be doing

As an apprentice youll support the commissioning team in delivering projects and improving services across adult social care. Youll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Administrative support for commissioning projects and service reviews.

  • Data collection analysis and reporting.

  • Organising meetings forums and governance groups.

  • Communicating with internal teams and external providers.

  • Supporting quality assurance and contract management activities.

Were looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn.

  • Organised and able to manage their time effectively.

  • A good communicator both written and verbal.

  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Aged 16 has the right to work in the UK and not be enrolled in full-time education.

Youll need to have GCSEs (AC or 49) in English and Maths or be willing to work towards achieving Level 2 qualifications as part of the apprenticeship.
