From Expansion People we are looking for an Area Business Manager to lead the Asia / Middle East / Africa markets for a leading International Company of top quality engineering solutions around the world. They have a niche product and its sales are made through prescription during the design phase of the projects. The candidate will have to discuss the technical advantages of using a superior solution with the consultant engineers involved in the design during the preliminary stages.
PROFILE DESCRIPTION & TASKS
- Develop sales plans to increase the level of sales in the territory.
- Review the level of activity of existing clients and develop strategies to grow sales in both existing and new markets.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients distributors installers contractors and engineering consultants to seize opportunities and develop the market.
- Provide technical presentations at industry conferences and events to enhance the visibility of the product and showcase its advantages.
- Do commercial prospection manage sales budget to achieve the sales target in the territory.
- Develop commercial and financial proposals and participate in trade negotiations in collaboration with the groups team and its hierarchy.
- Provide technical support for the development and installation of the product.
- Follow the construction sites and make sure that the product is properly installed according to our guidelines.
- The role will operate both remotely and on-site with more focus on Asia / Middle East / African time zone projects. Travelling will be required from time to time as part of the job.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with the EMEA & Asia Business Manager and the Export Director on the actions carried out planning of sales development as well as on the successes and any difficulties encountered.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering (ideally Civil or Geotechnical Engineering).
Alternative candidates could be accepted if they have strong sales orientation and 5 years experience in sales of technical products.
LANGUAGES: Spanish & English (Advanced level). French will be an added value.
EXPERIECE & SKILLS
- 5 years of experience in Sales of technical products (ideally geosynthetics or construction material).
- Proactive high level of initiative and passion for sales (niche product with technical advantages)
- Willingness to travel the position requires to around 35% of international travel.
- Technical background (presentation and discussions with engineering consultants)
- Organized autonomous person with strong communication skills
- High customer orientation and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Fluent in English in both written and speaking formats.
- International Experience will be plus (either for work or studies)
- Experience in International markets Asia / Middle East / Africa will be a plus.
- Knowledge in Civil Engineering and relevant experience or contacts in the industries of Mining
- Irrigation Hydroelectric or Oil and Gas will be a plus.
SALARY CONDITIONS
Fix: 50k Gross annual salary
