Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
Manages a potential multi-shift operation located within perry correctional institution (Bennettsville).
Coordinates with contractor to ensure production requirements are met.
Provides services in the most efficient & economical manner while supervising/teaching inmates skills that can be utilized upon their release.
Select train and evaluate personnel.
Establish an effective quality control program with proper waste control.
Maintains a work environment that is safe & healthy in accordance with state and OSHA requirements.
Directs the attendance of 60 inmate workers and prepares the necessary reports.
Coordinates activities with the contractor institutional personnel and industries.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.
OR
An associates degree with 2 years relevant program experience.
OR
A high school diploma and 4 years relevant program experience.
