Job Summary

Accounting Instructor (Full-Time Tenure-Track)

Highland Community College located in the scenic northwest corner of Illinois is seeking an Accounting Instructor for a full-time tenure-track position. This role involves instruction and facilitation of student learning contributing to the academic mission of the college and fostering student success.

Key Responsibilities

Teach a variety of accounting courses including online and in-person and hybrid formats.
Develop and deliver engaging curriculum that meets program and accreditation standards.
Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
Support student success through advising mentorship and timely feedback.
Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives including committee work and program development.

Required Qualifications

Masters degree in Accounting or a closely related field with extensive coursework in accounting.
Ability and willingness to teach a broad range of accounting courses.
Online teaching experience (required).
Experience teaching in a community college environment (preferred).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional certification (preferred)
