As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Team Operations Technology - Service Product youwill be guiding engineers overseeing daily tasks and establishing direction for team output practices and collaboration.
Job responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the teams work in accordance with compliance standards service level agreements and business requirements
- Adds to the team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and 5 years applied addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in modern programming languages with a strong emphasis on Java and Spring Boot including designing developing and maintaining robust software applications using industry best practices and contemporary frameworks
- Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including deploying managing and optimizing cloud-based applications and services; hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code; and practical experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and ECR (Elastic Container Registry) for container orchestration and management
- Experience in front end development debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Reacts JS.
- Experience leading technology projects
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working at code level
