Job Summary

Joondalup Health Campus is seeking experienced and dedicated Clinical Midwives and Registered Midwives to join our Private Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit. These permanent part-time roles offer negotiable hours supporting a healthy worklife balance while delivering high-quality maternity care in a private healthcare setting.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative supportive team providing evidence-based woman-centred care across the antenatal intrapartum and postnatal journey.

The Role

Clinical Midwife
In this leadership-focused role you will deliver expert clinical care to women and newborns while supporting and mentoring the wider midwifery team. You will promote safe high-quality maternity practices and provide clinical guidance in complex or high-acuity situations contributing to education quality improvement and professional excellence.

Registered Midwife
As a Registered Midwife you will be responsible for delivering high-quality midwifery care to women and their babies working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Your practice will align with the core values of Joondalup Health Campus and Ramsay Health Care ensuring safe compassionate and professional care at all times.

Essential Skills and Experience

Clinical Midwife

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience including at least 3 years in maternity and obstetrics.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (highly regarded).
  • Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Registered Midwife

  • Current midwifery registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Registered Midwife in a clinical setting.
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with registration requirements.
  • Knowledge of legislative and professional standards relevant to midwifery practice.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (highly desirable).

Requirements

  • Must provide or complete aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role Ramsay may require proof of immunisationagainst infectious diseases.
