Job Summary

Title: RN-Med/Surg/Tele
Location: Burlington MA
Shift: 12Hrs Nights
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed hour:36hrs

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments
Monitor cardiac rhythms using telemetry; recognize and respond to arrhythmias
Administer medications safely including IV medications and monitor for side effects
Interpret vital signs lab results and diagnostic tests; report abnormal findings promptly
Initiate and manage IV lines wound care catheters and other nursing procedures
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
Respond to changes in patient condition including emergencies and rapid responses
Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments medications and discharge plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure patient safety infection control and compliance with hospital policies
Assist with admissions transfers and discharges
