Senior Backend Engineer

This is a high-impact role for an experienced backend engineer who wants to work at the intersection of scalable systems and applied AI and who thrives in early-stage environments where ownership and velocity matter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and ship scalable backend and platform systems used across the product
- Develop and maintain AI-powered services and LLM agents that operate on large evolving datasets
- Work closely with product and engineering leadership to shape core architecture decisions
- Take full ownership of projects from concept to production in a fast-moving startup environment
- Continuously learn iterate and adapt as the product and company evolve
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in backend or platform engineering
- Strong ability to work independently learn quickly and execute with minimal oversight
- Hands-on experience with:
- Python
- AWS
- SQL-based databases
- API design and development
- Bonus experience:
- Working with LLMs agentic frameworks or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Building AI-driven or data-intensive platforms

Compensation:
$150000 $300000 base salary 0.5% 0.8% equity
