As an Engagement Manager within the Transport Practice you will move beyond high-level strategy to solve the how of infrastructure delivery. You will lead the financial architecture of projects that define how cities move. Your impact will be felt in the creation of bankable business cases the structuring of complex project finance and the leadership of cross-functional teams tackling some of the continents most significant economic and social challenges.
Performance Objectives for Year One:
- Architect Financial Solutions: Lead the development and evaluation of complex multi-variable financial models to support large-scale transport infrastructure projects within the first 6 months.
- Drive Project Delivery: Successfully manage the end-to-end delivery of at least two major consulting engagements ensuring high-quality slide decks financial reports and feasibility studies are delivered on time and within budget.
- Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary financial voice in client meetings translating intricate quantitative findings into clear actionable strategies for senior decision-makers in government and development finance.
- Secure Project Financing: Develop and implement financial structuring strategies that facilitate the securing of finance for infrastructure or service delivery projects.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of junior consultants and analysts fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the technical accuracy of all financial outputs.
- Business Growth: Contribute to the firms expansion by identifying and developing at least two new business opportunities or proposal leads within the Transport or Resilience sectors.
Profile for Success:
- Evidence of Impact: A proven track record (5-7 years) in management consulting or project finance specifically leading workstreams that involve financial modeling and infrastructure structuring.
- Quantitative Mastery: Exceptional Excel capabilities with the ability to work backwards from a clients desired outcome to build a robust calculation engine.
- Academic Foundation: A degree in Finance Engineering Mathematics Actuarial Science or Economics (Post-graduate qualification preferred).
- Stakeholder Navigation: Demonstrated experience managing complex relationships across the public and private sectors.
- Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams in a high-pressure deadline-driven environment.
