Sales Manager

Location: Midrand Johannesburg
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 17:00
Salary: Market-related (to be discussed with shortlisted candidates)

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading managing and driving the performance of the sales team to achieve revenue growth and market expansion. This role focuses on sales strategy execution team leadership performance management and strengthening key customer and distribution relationships within an FMCG / consumer goods environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader with strong commercial acumen proven people management experience and the ability to scale sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manage and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned to business objectives

  • Set sales targets monitor performance and drive accountability

  • Coach mentor and performance-manage Account Managers and sales staff

  • Identify new market opportunities channels and revenue streams

  • Manage key client distributor and strategic partner relationships

  • Track sales pipelines forecasts and reporting metrics

  • Work closely with operations logistics and marketing teams

  • Ensure consistent execution of promotions campaigns and product launches

  • Provide regular performance and market feedback to senior management

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years experience in Sales with at least 2 years in a Sales Management role

  • Proven experience in FMCG beverages or consumer goods environments

  • Strong leadership coaching and people management skills

  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent planning analytical and reporting skills

  • Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
