As a Locum MD Anesthesiologist you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative healthcare setting where you will work alongside a team of dedicated medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia plans
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any complications
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding anesthesia protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current and valid medical license to practice in the state
- Board certification in Anesthesiology is preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical anesthesiology setting
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and patient management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
Flexible Schedule: 8-hour day shifts available Monday-Friday
In-house call shifts
Patient Volume: 12-14 per day
Diverse Case Mix: Trauma orthopedics general surgery vascular orthopedics/spine urology and robotics
EMR: Epic
Must be ABA or ABPS board-certified or board-eligible
