About the Role
The Bilingual Logistics Operator will be a key operational link supporting cross-border freight movements between Mexico the U.S. and Canada. This role is heavily execution-focused and centered on daily shipment coordination real-time tracking documentation handling and proactive problem resolution.
You will serve as a primary point of contact for carriers vendors and customers during later business hours helping bridge coverage between U.S. and Mexico operations. This is an ideal role for a strong logistics coordinator who thrives in fast-paced environments communicates confidently in both English and Spanish and takes ownership of shipments from pickup through delivery.
What Youll Be Responsible For
Shipment Coordination: Coordinate daily logistics activities including scheduling freight pickups tracking shipments in real-time and resolving delays to ensure on-time delivery.
Communication: Serve as the primary contact for carriers vendors and customers in both English and Spanish (written & verbal).
Documentation: Prepare review and process essential documents (BOLs packing lists customs forms).
Tracking & Problem-Solving: Monitor shipments update statuses manage tracking and tracing and quickly resolve delays or issues.
System Management: Utilize logistics software (TMS) and spreadsheets to maintain accurate records and update load information.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and border requirements.
Reporting: Provide timely updates to internal teams and generate reports on logistics performance.
Requirements
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
- 2 years of experience in logistics transportation or freight operations
- Hands-on experience with shipment coordination and track & trace
- Familiarity with cross-border freight involving Mexico
- Direct experience communicating with carriers and drivers
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working later shifts and supporting after-hours operations
- or MexicoCanada freight lanes
- Working knowledge of customs documentation and terminology
- Prior experience as a Logistics Coordinator Operations Specialist or similar role
- Experience using TMS platforms
