Responsibilities
The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Qualifications
- High school diplomaequivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
PREFERRED
- One (1) year of experience as a Monitor Technician
- Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework.
- CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Certification through CCI.
