As a Veteran Hiring Specialist you are not filling seatsyou are building trust translating purpose and creating opportunity for transitioning military leaders. Your mandate: bring humanity back to hiring by forging authentic relationships and advocating for the unique value veterans deliver in the workforce.
Why This Role Exists (Commanders Intent)
Our sales team is growing to meet rising demand for authentic veteran advocacy and performance-based hiring. You will drive our message into new markets directly connecting with decision-makers sharing our story and helping employers understand how veterans can elevate their teams. Your purpose: build the relationships that make the mission possible.
Key Performance Objectives
Human-to-Human Outreach: Initiate and nurture authentic conversations with hiring managers via cold calls LinkedIn email and video. Use the VJD model to shownot tellwhat makes VHS and veteran talent different.
Market Expansion: Consistently generate and qualify new business leads securing introductory meetings and building a robust pipeline of corporate partners.
Veteran Advocacy: Act as a trusted guide to employers translating military skills into business outcomes and positioning veterans as leaders not just candidates.
Partnership Conversion: Move prospects from interest to actiontailor our value narrative address objections and close new client agreements.
Storytelling & Education: Share client and veteran success stories contribute to content (video/social/email) and help shape VHSs presence as a thought leader in veteran employment.
Continuous Growth: Learn and apply performance-based hiring and VJD best practices; contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Requirements
Military experience (any branch any MOS/AFSC/NEC) or demonstrated commitment to veteran advocacy
2 years in a sales/business development or recruiting rolestaffing/HR/recruiting industry a plus
Track record of successful cold calling outbound outreach and meeting/closing new accounts
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with LinkedIn video-based selling and CRM/ATS tools (Zoho preferred)
Comfort working 100% remote with self-directed schedule and accountability
