House Rock Wildlife Area (HRWA) is an AZGFD-managed area that covers approximately 58000 acres of United States Forest Service land adjacent to the Grand Canyon. AZGFD manages House Rock Wildlife Area for a variety of wildlife species (including pronghorn deer and bison) through a network of wildlife drinkers and dirt tanks. The Temp Worker will assist with management activities at HRWA. They will work under the supervision of the HRWA Manager. This is a field-based manual labor position that requires driving and working in remote locations in extreme weather and working alone. Primary Job Duties: Wildlife water repair Fence repair and construction Corral repair and construction Building maintenance and improvements Physically demanding requiring many hours outdoors in adverse conditions Other duties as assigned Experience (several years) Construction Carpentry Heavy equipment (Backhoe skid steer side-by-side) Welding General trade skills Ability to work independently - AZGFD will provide housing- Must have a 4-wheel drive car to get to the location- Will not be reimbursed to get to the location- The contractor will be using the states vehicle during length of assignment- AZGFD is looking for someone that wants to build their wildlife management
