Job Summary
Special Education Teacher Missouri School Year
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to join a Missouri school district for the academic year. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative school environment while making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs.
As a Special Education Teacher you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities helping them reach their academic behavioral and social goals. You will work closely with general education teachers related service providers administrators and families to ensure each student receives appropriate services in alignment with their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Key Duties Overview:
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
- Provide differentiated instruction in small-group and individualized settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and progress monitoring.
- Participate in IEP meetings evaluations and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Develop implement and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education.
- Knowledge of IDEA and Missouri special education requirements.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong communication collaboration and classroom management skills.
