Maintenance Mechanic Power Generation / Renewables
Eastern North Carolina
$30 - 35$ per hour

A clean energy developer and owner-operator is seeking a Maintenance Mechanicto support operations at large-scale renewable power generation facilities in North Carolina.
This organization develops builds owns and operates its projects long term and has invested over $100M in active energy infrastructure with facilities currently under construction and entering operations. The business combines the stability of long-term utility contracts with the agility of a small technically focused team.

Maintenance Mechanic Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance on equipment within an electrical power-generating plant.
- Install inspect test maintain and repair turbines pumps boilers heat exchangers pressure vessels and auxiliary systems.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on rotating and static equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and execute repairs or recommend corrective actions.
- Support outage work breakdown response and emergency callouts.
- Adhere strictly to safety environmental and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Work collaboratively with operations electrical I&C teams and contractors.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold housekeeping standards.
Maintenance Mechanic Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Work in industrial environments including high-noise areas confined spaces and elevated locations.
- Experience with rotating equipment and industrial plant systems.
- Basic computer skills (Word Excel Excel).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
Maintenance Mechanic Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or completed mechanical apprenticeship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in power generation chemical manufacturing heavy industrial or military environments.
