Maintenance Mechanic Power Generation / Renewables

Eastern North Carolina

$30 - 35$ per hour

A clean energy developer and owner-operator is seeking a Maintenance Mechanicto support operations at large-scale renewable power generation facilities in North Carolina.

This organization develops builds owns and operates its projects long term and has invested over $100M in active energy infrastructure with facilities currently under construction and entering operations. Maintenance Mechanic Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance on equipment within an electrical power-generating plant.
Install inspect test maintain and repair turbines pumps boilers heat exchangers pressure vessels and auxiliary systems.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on rotating and static equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and execute repairs or recommend corrective actions.
Support outage work breakdown response and emergency callouts.
Adhere strictly to safety environmental and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Work collaboratively with operations electrical I&C teams and contractors.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold housekeeping standards.

Maintenance Mechanic Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Work in industrial environments including high-noise areas confined spaces and elevated locations.
Experience with rotating equipment and industrial plant systems.
Basic computer skills (Word Excel Excel).
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.

Maintenance Mechanic Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree or completed mechanical apprenticeship.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in power generation chemical manufacturing heavy industrial or military environments.
