Job Summary
Position Title: Systems Engineer III
Location: San Diego CA
Position Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $115000 - $140000
Security Clearance Requirement: Position requires active security clearance
Years of Experience: 7 years experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
This roleinvolves designing implementing and maintaining secure communication systems that allow military aircraft ships and ground units to share critical tactical information in real-time.
Requirements
- Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrated technical experience within the last ten (10) years in:
- All phases of military data link: testing requirements analysis definition design specifications integration system installation and training for complex military systems.
- Preparation and review of technical instructions engineering plans technical designs and other systems integration and test-related documents.
- Planning and executing DoD Functional Qualification Testing (FQT) and troubleshooting of Software Defined Radio (SDR) or comparable systems.
- Analysis of SDR functional requirements and test objectives; test planning; test architecture definition and configuration; test execution data reduction analysis and reporting.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of demonstrated technical experience within the last ten (10) years to include:
- Systems engineering in support of Multifunction Information Distribution System (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Airborne Maritime Fixed (AMF) or similar software-defined radio systems.
- Leading analysis of new Functional Baseline requirements for MIDS JTRS software including FPGA Link 16 waveform and Operating Environment (OE) software.
