Overview

We are seeking a GIS Systems Engineer with strong experience in Esri ArcGIS and Schneider Electric ArcFM to support enterprise GIS platforms for a major utility organization. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing systems that support electric and gas operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on detail-oriented and experienced in managing and optimizing GIS environments in a utility or infrastructure setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support maintain and optimize enterprise GIS platforms including ArcGIS Enterprise ArcMap ArcGIS Pro and ArcFM
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and performance issues across application server and database layers
Collaborate with developers DBAs and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable GIS solutions
Develop and enhance GIS tools and automation using Python (ArcPy)
Manage system upgrades patches and deployments with minimal operational disruption
Monitor system performance and ensure scalability and reliability of GIS environments
Document technical processes system configurations and support procedures

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science GIS Engineering or related field
5 years of experience supporting and engineering GIS systems

Strong expertise in:

Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Server ArcGIS Pro)
Schneider Electric ArcFM
Experience working in utility environments (electric gas or water) strongly preferred
Proficiency in Python scripting (ArcPy) for automation and system support
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience with GIS performance tuning and system optimization
Familiarity with Agile environments
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise GIS deployments
