Job Summary
McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern for the Summer of 2026. Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of financial activities which may include:
* Assisting with financial reporting and analysis including preparing and reviewing financial statements and variance reports.
* Supporting budget development and forecasting processes by gathering data and preparing preliminary analyses.
* Conducting research and analysis on financial trends market conditions and competitor performance to inform strategic decisions.
* Participating in month-end close procedures including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
* Assisting with the development and maintenance of financial models and dashboards.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams on special projects related to cost reduction process improvement or financial system enhancements.
* Performing data entry and maintaining financial records with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Presenting findings and recommendations to the finance team and other stakeholders.
* Shadowing finance professionals to gain insight into various roles and career paths within the organization.

Qualifications
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who meet the following qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program with a major in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
* Expected graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
* Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel (e.g. VLOOKUPs pivot tables).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
* Prior internship or work experience in a business or finance-related role is a plus but not required.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
