DescriptionThe Microsoft 365 Lead Tenant Architect is responsible for the end-to-end design deployment governance and optimization of Microsoft 365 tenants with a specialized focus on Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) and Microsoft Copilot. This role ensures secure compliant and efficient tenant operations aligning with U.S. government regulations and enterprise AI governance standards. The architect will drive the adoption of advanced Microsoft 365 and Copilot capabilities supporting both regulated and commercial environments.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Architect configure and manage Microsoft 365 tenants for GCCH and commercial environments ensuring alignment with compliance standards and organizational objectives.
- Establish and enforce governance policies and operational standards for regulated environments with particular attention to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) and FedRAMP requirements.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. government regulations including DFARS CJIS and other applicable frameworks for GCCH environments.
- Lead the adoption integration and lifecycle management of Microsoft Copilot driving AI-powered productivity and collaboration across the enterprise.
- Define and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for the evolution of Microsoft Copilot agents ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with AI and agentic governance frameworks.
- Monitor tenant health performance and usage proactively identifying opportunities for optimization risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and compliant handling of sensitive data including ITAR and CUI.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Microsoft 365 GCCH and AI governance to stakeholders and leadership.
QualificationsMust Have
- Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 architect or in a similar role with direct responsibility for tenant-level administration.
- 5 plus years of overall tenant administration experience including at least 3 years in Microsoft 365 GCCH tenant administration.
- Extensive knowledge deploying and maintaining Microsoft Copilot in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of U.S. government compliance frameworks (DFARS CJIS etc.) ITAR CUI FedRAMP and AI governance requirements as they pertain to GCCH environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. Citizenship (due to contractual and regulatory requirements).
