Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service and financial literacy education to our students and parents as well as to direct them to appropriate departments as needed. This is an experienced customer-focused role to work with our students and families answering questions and troubleshooting situations as they arise. This position also assists in the day-to-day operations of a multi-functional office.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Required Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:

A. college coursework in business administration communications public relations or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
-Associates Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
-Bachelors degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B. responsible work experience in customer services public relations office administration business and financial operations healthcare administration or other closely related experience

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience Dealing with customers.
2. Ability to prioritize and manage work.
3. Judgement decision-making skills
4. Working knowledge of Excel and Word
5. Ability to communicate effectively with people verbally and through correspondence.
6. Ability to handle difficult or delicate situations.
7. Ability to learn quickly including industry or department-specific software.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation

1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
3. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview.
