Blessed Sacrament Parish is hiring a Chief Administrative Officer to support the work of the Pastor and his parish.
This is a full-time role and will report to the Pastor.
The Chief Administrative Officer is an administrator supporting the Pastors administrative responsibilities to the parish which includes the church and all associated collaboration with the Pastoral Advisory Committees/Councils the Parish Finance Council and other parish committees/organizations the Parish Business Manager ensures parish business practices align with the Mission Vision and Core Values of the parish. Development and implementation of the parish strategic plan is an integral part of this positions responsibility.
Detailed Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Pastor as needed in the management of parish programsas necessary; evaluate parishprograms withtheprofessional staff
- Ensure effective communication of parish activitieseventsand notices;coordinate a comprehensive strategic integrated communications strategy thatincludes the parish bulletin; announcements at Mass; signs and banners; andparishweb pagesandsocialmediaplatforms
- SuggeststrategiesforPastorandapplicablecommitteeusage
- Overseecounting anddepositofallparishfunds;manageparishbanking
- Representparishtovendorsandgovernmentalauthorities
- Participateinallparishstaff meetingsandFinanceCouncilmeetingsasrequired
- AttenddiocesanmeetingsasnecessaryrepresentingtheParishandthePastor
- Maintaingoodworkingrelationshipsandeffectivecommunicationbetweentheparish& groups.
Qualifications
- Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community
- Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field
- At least five years experience in managing subordinates budgets and/or operations
- Knowledge of budgeting processes financial controls contracting human resource management
- Familiarity with the Catholic Church as an organization
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with staff clergy and parish volunteers
- Adept at computer use: Microsoft and Google office applications including email and video conference applications; knowledgeable about cloud-based data and document storage and protection
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Regular office hours; work outside of regular office hours by exception
