Work Schedule:

Hours vary and may include day evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

Job Summary:

Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the colleges strategic goals and evaluate students progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Journeyman (or similar) status with 4000 hours of documented work experience.

Knowledge of PLCs hydraulics pneumatics and electrical for industrial applications.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge and skills including but not limited to mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical operation process and control systems including both building electrical and machine electrical panels.

Desired Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Associates Degree in related subject with 4000 documented work experience or Bachelors Degree in related subject with 2000 documented work experience.

Essential Duties:

Deliver Instruction

1. Conduct assigned classes and/or labs

2. Prepare lessons

3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards attendance policies classroom behavioral expectations course outline and contact information)

4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets

If a lab is involved:

5. Prepare labs

6. Enforce lab safety procedures

Evaluate Student Progress

1. Keep accurate record of student performance

2. Provide students with timely feedback

Provide Student Assistance

1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication

2. Refer students to student support services

3. Accommodate special needs students
