Responsibilities
What youll be able to do:
Senior Software Engineer - Anchor - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn Michigan). Note this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn MI. Lead the development of eCommerce microservices platform using a combination of open-source frameworks (Java) and Cloud native technology stack. Design develop and implement scalable microservices architecture that will support the companys business requirements. Provide technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop a scalable microservices platform. Design develop and implement high-quality reusable and testable code that adheres to industry best practices and standards. Build reusable frameworks and work closely with DevOps and other teams to ensure the platform is highly available scalable and fault tolerant. Handle operations issues with little or no oversight. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards patterns and architecture principles. Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for the platform.
Qualifications
Youll have...
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 5 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Object-Oriented Development in building microservices architecture on JVM platform concepts. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Spring Platform (Spring MVC Spring Boot Spring JDBC and Spring Cloud). 2. Automated Testing CI/CD using Jenkins CI. 2 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Test-driven development (TDD) Extreme Programming (XP) self-documenting code continuous refactoring and writing Unit Integration and Acceptance test cases.1 year of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Working with at least one of the following cloud technologies: Azure PCF AWS or GCP.
We are offering a salary of$138486.00 - $185946.96/yr.
