The Air Security Force (ASF) mission is to secure and protect the Air and Space missions capabilities and people through the delivery of counter threats police and protective security effects.
The role requires a dedicated and proactive RAF Provost Officer to take on the role of DSC for No 3605 Sqn. This is an exciting opportunity to support OC 3605 Sqn in leading developing and managing a team of RAF Police Part-Time Volunteer Reserves (PTVRs). The role is pivotal in ensuring the Sqn is trained prepared and ready to support the regular Air Security Force (ASF) and offers an excellent opportunity to play a key part in the success of No 3605 Sqn by supporting the OC in delivering the squadrons mission and contributing to the wider Defence effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the OC in the command leadership and management of the Sqn HQ team and RAF Police reserve personnel at RAF Waddington and RAF Leeming ensuring a cohesive flexible and professional Force Element (FE) of the ASF.
- Provide oversight and support for the delivery of all 3605 Sqn outputs including readiness training and assurance administration and engagement.
- Support training and provide assurance and RAF Police SME guidance to RAF Police reserve personnel at RAF Cosford (605 Sqn) under a Memorandum of Understanding.
- Support the OC in fostering an environment that attracts supports and develops PTVRs in the RAF Police Reserves offering meaningful opportunities for mobilisation and Reserve Service Days.
- Assist in maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders including the Reserves Directorate 2 Group Reserves HQ ASF Reserve Forces and Cadets Associations Reserve Support Wings and parent stations/establishments.
