Linux Systems Engineer (NH-3)

Salary Range:$180000-$225000 depending on experience.

We are seeking:

A Linux Systems Engineer that will analyze users requirements concept of operations documents and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements advises alternative approaches and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements design and technology. Incorporates new plans designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the cutomer regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel overseers and senior executives.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• Experience with Linux system engineering and system administration
• Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources
• VM experience
• A Security certification
• Desired but not required experience: Dell and HPE Linux servers Juniper and Cisco routers/switches/firewalls Palo Alto firewalls Ansible Nutanix-VM management Rubrik-data storage Nomad containers SALT scripts LibreNMS and NetBox
• Shall have at least twenty(20) years of related work experience
• A bachelors degree in a related discipline is required. Five (5) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of twenty-five (25) years of experience
