- Proven leadership abilities
- Safety of the crew vessel environment and towing operations through use of Ingrams safety systems policies and the rules of the road
- Supervision of the Mate and Deckhands in consultation with the Captain and Operations/HR
- Vessel compliance with USCG and environmental laws and regulations
- Assisting with performance evaluations of crew members
- Delegating vessel responsibilities duties and tasks considering crew members experience and abilities
- Assisting with safety meetings and drills
- Basic critical thinking and decision making skills
- Assisting with administrative duties
- Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
- Performing other job duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Hold or be able to obtain a USCG Masters of Towing license
- Hold a FCC Radio Operator license
- Hold a valid MMC
- Hold a Radar Endorsement
- Hold a valid Drivers License
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Be CPR First Aid AED Certified or willing to obtain certifications upon hire
- Pass a post-offer process if an offer is made (background check drug screen physical)
- Must be able to read and write the English language in order to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
