Were seeking a strategic Supply Chain Manager who will transform how we source and maintain our critical aviation this pivotal role youll craft innovative procurement strategies that ensure Amazon Airs fleet remains robust efficient and cost-effective across global operations.
You will bring a blend of aviation technical knowledge and commercial sourcing expertise possessing strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost-effective strategies for airframe and powerplant maintenance and material supply. You will work to ensure Amazon Air secures sufficient maintenance capacity and favorable commercial terms while building a resilient high-quality supply chain to support the operation.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive sourcing processes for aircraft and engine maintenance including developing detailed Request for Proposals and conducting sophisticated vendor evaluations
- Negotiate and execute complex global agreements with maintenance providers and aftermarket vendors
- Design commercial strategies to ensure reliable and cost-effective component and asset procurement
- Support strategic acquisition of spare engines auxiliary power units and high-value rotatable assets
- Collaborate across internal teams to align sourcing strategies with operational requirements

Your work will directly contribute to Amazons mission of transforming logistics and customer experiences.
- Bachelors degree in business engineering operations supply chain transportation logistics
- 3 years of supply chain forecasting manufacturing sourcing/procurement or vendor management experience
- 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3 years of airline/MRO supply chain experience.
- Masters degree in business engineering operations supply chain transportation logistics
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling
- Experience in complex problem solving and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience leading RFPs and negotiating complex contracts for services (MRO) and/or material (parts/rotables).
- Direct experience sourcing and contracting for spare engines APUs or high-value rotable assets.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
