The Early Mental Potential & Wellbeing Research Centre (EMPOWER) is a University Research Institute whose mission is to maximise every childs mental and emotional capital by uplifting neurodevelopmentaltrajectories during early sensitive periods through interdisciplinary discovery science and translational technologies. The Centre has 3 major activities and thrusts:
1) Core Discovery Research Empowering Science: Basic neuroscience research and advanced computational models to understand individual neurocognitive potential developmental trajectories and risk and resilience factors;
2) Translation to Clinic & Pedagogy Empowering Practitioners: Developing precision assessment and intervention tools to optimise parent-child social and mental health within clinical education and community settings;
3) Translation to Real-World Technologies Empowering Families: Creating scalable solutions and real-world technologies for parents to enhance their childs mental and cognitive wellbeing at home.
For more details please view are looking for an experienced Senior Research Fellow to work closely with a team of researchers led by PI Professor Victoria Leong and to drive and fulfill research deliverables and milestones within a tight timeline.
The postholder is expected to render research support to the Centres Director Professor Victoria Leong and collaborators on basic and translational projects with a focus on early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of researchers driving the achievement of research deliverables and milestones within tight project timelines.
Provide strong research and operational support to the Centre Director Professor Victoria Leong and a team of Co-Investigators ensuring smooth execution of centre activities.
Coordinate complex multi-stakeholder research projects at both local and international levels facilitating effective communication collaboration and progress tracking.
Oversee end-to-end project management for research and industry initiatives including planning monitoring reporting and risk management.
Manage contracts and agreements including Research Collaboration Agreements (RCA) sub-contracting arrangements and related documentation ensuring timely execution and alignment with institutional policies.
Liaise closely with relevant offices including the Legal Secretariat Office (LSO) Institutional Review Board (IRB) team and other administrative units to ensure compliance with ethical contractual and regulatory requirements.
Support intellectual property (IP) and technology disclosure processes working with researchers and NTUitive (or equivalent IP office) on disclosures filings and associated documentation.
Serve as a key point of contact for events and partnership activities including workshops seminars industry engagements and public outreach initiatives ensuring effective planning and smooth execution.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Social Sciences/Humanities/Business or Technical/Computing/Biological fields or related field
At least 4 years of relevant experiences in an institute of higher learning / research environment
Experience of project management in a commercial / industry setting is highly desirable.
Strategic planning and financial management skills are preferred
Efficient organized and a good team player
Strong communication and writing skills are essential
Experience working with international collaborators or partners in a research or commercial context is desired
Self-motivated and able to motivate others
