Primary Objective of the Position:

The Fleet Engineer position is a supporting role within aircraft maintenance & engineering. The primary responsibility of the person in this position is to support and assist the Manager of Engineering to effectively manage and monitor the day-to-day fleet aircraft maintenance requirements ensuring that both technical dispatch and operational efficiencies are met in accordance with Cargojets MCM / MPM Manual & Technical documentation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide initial assessment for Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives
Evaluation and preparation of cost/benefit analysis for Service Bulletins and other technical information.
To disseminate technical information to staff as required through implementation of fleet campaigns.
To provide technical support to MCC and too provide technical input to Material Control for Rotable repair work scopes.
To assist in work specification development for engine shop visits coordination and oversight of heavy maintenance activities.
To provide assistance to the Reliability Program and provide delay analysis and corrective action programs.
To provide technical input to Planning for heavy maintenance.
Assist with aircraft weight and balance control & with maintaining NAV/DATA / GPS Terrain Data and ELT databases.
To assist in aircraft modification programs special projects and fleet acquisitions.
To assist with revisions to Minimum Equipment List (MEL) manuals as required.
Assist in preparing Quarterly ETOPS reporting to Boeing.
Be knowledgeable with all company and government manuals/documents pertaining to the work.
Communicate with Duty Managers and Maintenance senior Management.
Responsible for your training remain current with all technical and regulatory training requirements to function in the assigned role
Ensure a clean and safe workplace for team members.
Ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and safety / security policies procedures and standards.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Manager of Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

Transport Canada AME M2 License.
5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Type Rating on B757 B767 or B777 or experience on Transport Category Aircraft considered an asset.
Ability to obtain an RAIC and AVOP.
Ability to use computers: intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint.
Must have excellent communication skills problem-solving abilities and be detail-oriented able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
