Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical expertise a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a this role youll handle vehicle maintenance diagnostics and repairs as well as assist with minor body work. Youll contribute to a safe and efficient shop environment and help keep our fleet running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance inspections and repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct road tests following safe driving practices
- Assist with minor body work including removal and installation of components such as bumpers fenders and doors
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- Support fleet maintenance operations and contribute to team success
Qualifications
- Red Seal Certificate in Automotive Service Technician
- Minimum of five years of automotive service experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of diesel engines transmissions electrical and electronic systems brake systems fuel ignition emission systems drivetrain components and HVAC systems
- Experience reading automotive schematics and using diagnostic tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with workplace safety standards including the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
- Valid BC drivers license with a clean driving record
