Safety Advisor

Downer has a long- term opportunity for a safety professionalto join our team based out of Mackay QLD.As a Safety Advisor you will actively support coach mentor and provide technical advice to internal stakeholders. This dynamic role offers a blend of site-based and office exposure with a strong focus on fostering collaboration to achieve our Safety objectives while also contributing to business innovation. Perfect for someone looking to develop their career as a safety professional.

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Certificate 4 Work Health and Safety minimum.
• Exposure to civil road maintenance or construction (desirable).
• ICAM Lead Incident Investigation (desirable).
• Experience conducting audits and preparation of corrective actions and reports.
• Participated in high level incident investigations.
• Flexible with working night shift when required.
• Ability to positively influence change and communicate effectively with multiple types of stakeholders.
• High level of problem solving with the ability to professionally navigate complex situations.
• Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
