Job Summary

Day-to-day responsibility for or provide support on projects that generate new products processes and understanding of commercial value to JM. Contributes to the improvement of the team or processes within JM.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead the overall scheme design and development of engine aftertreatment systems in the marine and stationary power generation fields covering core links such as catalyst carrier packaging structure urea injection system control strategy and sensor selection to ensure the system meets relevant emission regulations including IMO Tier III EPA and domestic GB standards.
  • Work closely with customers suppliers and global technology team to develop customised solutions according to JM global standards and customer specific requirements.
  • Be responsible for the matching and optimization of aftertreatment systems with engines conduct system performance simulation analysis (such as fluid mechanics and structural strength analysis) evaluate raw exhaust emissions and formulate targeted treatment schemes and solve technical problems arising in the design process.
  • Take the lead in the engineering application of aftertreatment systems including prototype manufacturing bench testing on-site installation and commissioning and sea/plant condition verification track the performance of products throughout their life cycle and provide technical support and improvement schemes.
  • Coordinate with aftertreatment component suppliers conduct supplier technical evaluation and quality management promote localized replacement and cost optimization of key components and ensure supply chain stability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or above in Internal Combustion Engine Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Chemical Engineering or related majors; masters degree is preferred.
  • Have a mix of design and customer interface experience more than 8 years of work experience in engine aftertreatment system design and application including at least 5 years of relevant experience in the marine or stationary power generation industry with full-process project leadership experience from scheme design to mass production of aftertreatment systems.
  • Proficient in core technologies of engine aftertreatment for marine and stationary power generation familiar with the working mechanism and design key points of aftertreatment devices such as SCR DOC DPF and ASC and able to independently formulate system solutions that meet strict emission regulations.
  • Master CAE FEA and other fluid and structural strength analysis tools proficient in 3D design software as well as office software with strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Fluent in English written verbal and presentation.
  • Customer Focus: Making customers and their needs a primary focus of ones actions: developing and sustaining productive customer relationships.
  • Building Collaborative Relationships: Identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between ones areas teams departments units or organisations including customers to help achieve business goals.
  • Excellent communication presentation organisation and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
