ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the production from idea to full execution of high quality multimedia visual content and visual stories in the field such as photo stories photo books short videos focused on or highlighting the humanitarian toll and economic toll of the war and/or WFPs activities in the
country.
2. Lead artistic direction and creative planning for the office contribute to strategic communications planning by providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of visual storytelling and creative content production.
3. Conceptualize and lead the preparation of visual storytelling events such photo exhibitions or interactive exhbitions in Ukraine or in strategic international locations (e.g. international conferences donor capitals etc)
4. Develop specific creative projects including (but not limited to) a book on food production in Ukraine in the midst of war featuring individual stories of food producers supported by WFP or connected to WFPs programmes.
5. Ensure high quality photographic coverage of local events ceremonies high level meetings high level visits and other as needed.
6. Produce and prepare packages of high quality visual content and short stories for donors and/or media outlets for their use as appropriate.
7. Manage the entire process of content production from research and creative brainstorming to mission planning in coordination with technical units and field offices to content collection editing captioning and archiving on the Multimedia Hub.
8. Keep all multimedia content well organized and quickly uploaded to the WFP Multimedia Hub for easy use by WFP units and other WFP offices.
9. Prepare/curate selections of photos and other visual content for use in publications or presentations as needed.
10. Train national and international staff or cooperating partners on audiovisual content production WFP processes and consent rules.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Education: University Degree


Experience: At least 6 years of experience in Photography Multimedia content production creative direction or similar. Experience producing high quality visual storytelling events such as interactive photo exhibitions


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Expertise in creative planning documentary photography portrait photography.
  • Storytelling and creative writing


Languages: Fluent English required
