Job Type: Full time fixed-term contract (23 February - 5 June 2026)

Location: Hybrid (4 fixed days in the London E2 office a week)

Salary: 25250 pro rata

Hours: Monday - Friday (9:30am-5:30pm)*

*Flexibility is required when working to deadlines and covering team hours. Please note you must be available to work on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May as part of D&AD Judging & Festival.

Purpose of the Job

The D&AD Awards and New Blood Awards spotlight the worlds most outstanding creative work across commercial design advertising production and craft judged by over 260 global creative leaders. While the main D&AD Awards celebrate professional excellence the New Blood Awards champion emerging talent attracting thousands of entries from students and young creatives worldwide.

The Warehouse Assistant will play a key role in providing logistical and operational support for the D&AD Programmes team. They will be responsible for ensuring the accurate cataloguing organisation and storage of all physical award entries as well as the timely processing of incoming packages and returning any entries where necessary. By maintaining tidy well-organised storage areas and performing regular quality checks the role helps safeguard the integrity of the awards process. Working closely with colleagues across Awards Programmes and Office Management the role ensures that all physical entries are managed to the highest standard supporting the smooth delivery of the Awards and related activities.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Storage

  • Receive scan unpack and process packages arriving at the office.

  • Label organise and allocate entries to designated storage areas ready for the Programmes team to process the entries.

  • Ensure accurate cataloguing storage and warehousing of all award entries matches D&AD systems provided.

  • Maintain tidy organised office and storage spaces in collaboration with the Programmes and Office Managers so entries can be easily and promptly located.

  • Assist to the setup of office space including setting up shelving units and assisting with other physical organisation tasks as required.

  • Adhere to all H&S guidelines to maintain a healthy safe and tidy work environment.

Quality Control

  • Perform weekly quality checks on all physical entries to identify and rectify errors to ensure the items matches what is listed in the systems.

  • Monitor stationery stock.

  • Flag and escalate any issues with entries stock or storage processes to the Production Manager.

Entry Processing

  • Assist with the processing and storing of physical entries ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Conduct quality checks on digital assets (including moving images stills audio websites and apps) to ensure they meet technical requirements and entry criteria.

  • Edit or amend entries as needed to bring them in line with requirements.

  • Responsible for following up with entrants to ensure all outstanding physical entry materials are delivered to the office on time.

  • Identify and resolve entry issues liaising directly with entrants and internal teams to find solutions.

  • Provide high-quality tailored support to entrants throughout the awards process.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with entrants ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.

  • Maintain D&ADs tone of voice and ensure responses are delivered within policy and agreed timeframes.


Judging

  • Assist with the transportation to and from Judging including the setup and pack down of entries.

  • Quality control; ensure work is accurately prepared and displayed for judging.

  • Support change over of jury sessions and judging rounds

  • Help resolve any problems and queries

  • Proofread written information if necessary

  • Oversee the management of communication with entrants for the retrieval of their requested returned entries

You may be required to carry out other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager to support the D&AD team.

Key Experience and Skills

  • Previous warehouse/logistics experience is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.

  • Experience in performing manual handling tasks safely and effectively in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Personal Qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently while escalating when necessary.

  • Proactive and adaptable with a willingness to support ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Passionate about design advertising and creative industries.
