Job Summary
Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Mesquite Texas USA
Shift: Day Shift (hours may vary per facility policy)
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to join a leading oncology team in Mesquite Texas. The Radiation Therapist administers radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and Chief Radiation Therapist. Accuracy in patient positioning dose delivery and treatment documentation is critical. This role contributes to high-quality evidence-based cancer care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities-
Safely and accurately deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions

Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records

Assist in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students
-
Maintain patient appointment schedules and submit accurate billing information
-
Prepare treatment blocks custom molds and perform simple MU calculations
-
Interpret computerized treatment plans accurately
-
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
-
Follow all compliance safety and regulatory standards

Provide patient education and support during treatments

Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
-
ARRT certification required
-
Valid state license for radiation therapy in Texas
-
US Citizen or Green Card holder

1 year of experience preferred; new graduates considered

Knowledge of radiation therapy principles patient care and safety

Sit stand walk and reach with hands and arms
-
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
-
Corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges
