Job Summary

MS/Tele RN Shifts: 3x12 nights 1900-0730 M-F No call No weekends Certs required: BLS and NIHSS Certs preferred: ACLS and CPI Avg. Daily Census: 16-18 Beds: 24 Staffing Ratios: Nights 1:5 Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics Float required within service line and scope Unit Accepts 1st time Travelers Years of exp required: 1 year Locals accepted: No 75-mile radius Pending License accepted: No Acute Medical Unit. Medical and Telemetry patients. EKG rhythm identification non-titrating cardiac drips Epic charting preferred. Acutely ill adult and geriatric general medicine/surgical or infectious disease patients that may require telemetry monitoring for non-acute cardiac conditions. Including advanced medication infusion without increase titration. Decrease/weaning is allowed. Excluding: Active and unstable gastrointestinal bleeding Uncontrolled ischemic chest pain with unstable vital signs Continuous NPPV Medications: o Tenecteplase (TNK) o Insulin drip o Neosynephrine o Nipride Telemetry non-acute cardiac admitting diagnosis Care of the acutely ill adult and geriatric patient Pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care Neurological assessment and care of the acute ischemic stroke (AIS) / transientischemic attack (TIA) patient Hospital Highlights Alton Memorial Hospital 1 Memorial Drive Alton Illinois 62002 Total Staffed Beds: 222 Scrubs: Navy Parking: free AO
