Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT)

Assignment Type: Temporary / Travel Contract
Setting: Pediatric Outpatient / Community-Based Clinic
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) for a temporary / travel assignment in Lake Havasu City Arizona supporting pediatric patients in an outpatient or community-based clinical environment. This role is ideal for a PT who is passionate about pediatric care comfortable working with children across a variety of developmental stages and adaptable to a contract-based assignment.
The Pediatric PT will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays orthopedic conditions neurological disorders and mobility impairments while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and evidence-based practice
- Provide hands-on therapy addressing gross motor skills strength balance coordination posture and mobility
- Assess and recommend adaptive equipment orthotics and mobility aids as appropriate
- Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs and therapeutic strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists Occupational Therapists physicians and other care providers
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Deliver family-centered culturally sensitive care in a community-focused setting
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Arizona PT license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Pediatric physical therapy experience required (outpatient clinic school-based or early intervention)
- Strong understanding of pediatric development motor milestones and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication organization and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a temporary or travel assignment environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or contract assignment experience
- Experience in outpatient pediatric or multidisciplinary clinic settings
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Experience with early intervention and school-aged pediatric populations
Assignment Details
- Temporary / Travel contract (duration based on facility needs)
- Potential for contract extension based on performance and demand
- Primarily weekday schedule; flexibility may be required
