Job Overview/Summary:
The Music Therapist is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating therapeutic interventions to support developmentally appropriate patient care. This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to help achieve patient- and family-centered goals while promoting the effectiveness and quality of music therapy services in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:

Assess plan implement and evaluate music therapy interventions as part of an individualized developmentally appropriate plan of care

Collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient family and healthcare team goals

Promote the delivery and effectiveness of music therapy services within the therapy program
-
Maintain and enhance professional skills related to music therapy practice
-
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and documentation
-
Support therapy services for neonatal and pediatric patient populations
Primary Skills:
-
Music therapy assessment and intervention planning
-
Patient-centered and developmentally appropriate care delivery
-
Interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
-
Clinical documentation and evaluation
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
-
Experience in neonatal and pediatric healthcare settings
-
Program development in inpatient art/music therapy
-
Familiarity with medical facility workflows and care teams
Qualifications:

Associates Degree in art music or an education-related field (required)
-
Bachelors Degree (preferred)
-
National Certification in Music Therapy (required)
-
National Certification in Art Therapy (preferred for art therapy roles)
-
Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare art/music therapy experience
-
At least one (1) year of experience in a medical facility working with neonatal and pediatric populations
-
Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
