Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Shift: 2nd Shift 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Role Overview
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for final inspection and in-process inspection of aerospace products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings customer requirements and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing shipping and receiving inspection activities in a precision-driven aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform final quality control inspections and support shipping and receiving inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings customer specifications company standards sampling procedures and inspection instructions.
- Accurately record evaluate and report quality and reliability data.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and inspection equipment for dimensional and visual inspections.
- Inspect products at various stages of the production process.
- Compile and analyze statistical quality data to maintain product quality and reliability.
- Recommend improvements or modifications to existing quality or production standards within equipment capability.
- Support the development application and maintenance of quality standards for materials processes and finished products.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support quality operations.
Inspection & Technical Skills
- Dimensional and visual inspection of aerospace components
- Use of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Understanding of quality standards inspection methods and sampling procedures
- Ability to work with engineering drawings and technical documentation
Computer Skills
- Basic computer proficiency required including:
- Email communication
- Word processing
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets in MS Excel
- Navigating operating systems and inspection documentation systems
Qualifications
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and follow documented inspection procedures.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in an aviation-related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of relevant aviation industry experience
- At least 2 years of experience performing basic dimensional and visual inspection on aviation-related equipment (airframe powerplant and/or avionics)
- Must certify visual acuity to NAS-410
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred
